Hello again! If you are reading this, then hopefully you would like to know some more about us!
We have been making and restoring military items for over 20 years, previously trading as "The victorian workshop". (we had to retitle as some clients thought that we only made white equipment). We have been producing equipment and accessories of all periods in leather, webbing and canvas along with full life size figures for some of the major military museums in England and Europe. We have also produced items for film, tv and theatre.
All our work is made as accurately as possible, using original fittings and materials as available, or the nearest modern equivalent and always making sure that there are no sharp or dangerous edges which can sometimes be found on items available elsewhere!
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Pierre Turner, the renowned military artist and researchist for his continued help and friendship over the years and allowing us to access his vast collection of research of English equipment. We wish him every success with his new book "Soldiers Accoutrements Of The British Army 1750-1900" which is a gold mine of information!
We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to our friend Chris Collingwood , the world famous military artist for the generous use of his outstanding artwork on this site . A selection of his prints are available for sale on our "prints" page.
